## About Raghunathanjali: A Musical Tribute

Raghunathanjali is not a concert where you sit back as a passive observer. It is a traditional baithak organized in collaboration with Sangeet Kala Kendra, Agra, designed to bridge the distance between the artist and the listener. We sit on the floor, close to the performers, allowing you to catch every nuance of the raga and the subtle microtones often lost in large auditoriums. This setup requires an open mind and a willingness to engage with the music deeply, just as our elders did in the courtly gatherings of the past.

The essence of Raghunathanjali lies in its intent. Music, when performed in a baithak format, transforms from entertainment into an act of devotion. By hosting this event in collaboration with Sangeet Kala Kendra, Agra, we bring together senior maestros and emerging artists to share a common space. It is a rare opportunity to witness veterans like Ustad Saeed Zafar Khan (Sitar) and Sh. Babar Latif (Tabla) playing in an intimate setting, creating a dialogue that transcends mere performance.

We believe that acknowledging the scholars who preserve this art is as important as the performance itself. During this event, we present the 'Swarveni Kalasetu' Award to distinguished musicologists like Pt. Vijay Shankar Mishra. It is a moment to honor the intellectual and academic rigor behind the notes you hear. Whether you are a student looking to understand stage etiquette or a listener wanting to feel the raw energy of a live raga, these gatherings serve as a bridge to that deeper understanding.

We ensure that the focus remains on the 'bhaav' (emotion). From vocal duets by Dr. Megha Talegaonker and Sushri Shubhra Talegaonker to solo recitals, every performance is stripped of unnecessary amplification and spectacle.
