## About Portraits & Candids

When I step on stage or sit for a photograph, my attire and posture are not just for show—they are part of the classical decorum I learned from Ustad Joginder Singh Ji. Whether I am preparing for a solo recital or setting up for a fusion concert, these moments reflect the discipline and respect I carry for the instrument, ensuring that the visual presentation matches the authenticity of the sound.

For me, the tabla is not just an instrument, it is a spiritual journey. These portraits and candid shots serve as a diary of my path as a student of the Punjab Gharana. You will find glimpses of my 'riyaaz' sessions, where I refine the bol, kayada, and gat, as well as moments from concert stages across India, from the NMACC to Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur.

### Why Presentation Matters in Classical Music
Classical music demands a certain discipline, and that extends to how we present ourselves on stage. Wearing traditional attire like a kurta and pagdi is my way of honoring the legacy of my Ustadji. When you hire a musician, you are not just paying for the notes; you are paying for the atmosphere. My goal is to bring that same classical gravity to every event, whether it is an intimate baithak, a high-energy jugalbandi, or a wedding fusion set.

### My Approach to Performance
Each image here tells a story of my preparation. You will see the focus before a show, the interaction with other musicians, and the joy of performing Gurbani Kirtan or bhajans. I believe that if you practice sincerely, the stage becomes a place of peace. If you are looking for an artist who values tradition but remains open to modern collaborations, these photos provide an honest look at who I am and how I approach my craft.
