Whether you want a 'Mom to be' message, a cradle illustration, or a portrait of the expecting parents, I recommend sharing your theme ideas a few days early. This allows me to plan the layout so that the henna flows perfectly with the size of your hands and arms. A baby shower or 'godh bharai' is a special celebration, and I believe your mehendi should reflect that joy. Unlike traditional bridal designs that often follow set patterns, maternity mehendi is all about storytelling and capturing the excitement of the new arrival. **My Approach to Maternity Mehendi** I specialize in incorporating elements that matter to you. If you want to include symbols like a baby in a cradle, an elephant motif for luck, or even a portrait of the parents, I can adapt these into a cohesive design. I use natural, safe henna, which is a priority when working with mothers-to-be. **Planning Your Design** * **Themes:** Common requests include 'Mom to be' labels, baby feet motifs, and floral wreaths. If you have a specific character from your baby's nursery or a color theme in mind, let me know. * **Customization:** I can draw portraits based on photos you provide. Please send these reference images at least 3 to 4 days before your event so I can prepare the facial proportions correctly. * **Session Timing:** Maternity mehendi takes patience. I recommend scheduling the application for a time when you feel comfortable sitting for an extended period, as detailing the smaller, intricate figures requires focus and a steady hand. My studio is in Vashi, but I travel across Navi Mumbai for home visits. Whether you are planning a small intimate gathering or a larger event, reach out to discuss your design preferences. ## About Sunita Shinde I’m Sunita, and I’ve been obsessed with mehendi since I was a child in Vashi.
