You won't find me standing on the sidelines with a massive telephoto lens. I prefer to be in the thick of the fun, capturing the surprise toast, the dance moves that will be laughed about for years, and the sheer energy of your celebration. When you are planning an engagement or reception, the lighting can change in a heartbeat. One moment you are under bright spotlights for a performance, the next you are in the dim, atmospheric corners of the bar area. My team and I are prepared for this with professional LED lighting for low-light scenarios and high-speed lenses that do not miss a beat. I treat your reception as a narrative, not just a series of posed shots. I am looking for the in-between moments, like a friend whispering a joke during a speech, the groom loosening his tie after the formalities are done, or the bride kicking off her heels to dance. I make sure my equipment is unobtrusive so that I can move through the crowd without being a distraction.
