Because I specialize in VDJing, you will see the original music videos from the 70s, 80s, and 90s projected live on screen as I mix the tracks. It changes the dynamic entirely. People don't just listen; they watch, sing along, and connect with the visuals in a way that keeps the energy high for the full 4-5 hours. When you book me for a Retro Night, we are not just queuing up songs. I curate the experience to match your specific crowd, whether it's an intimate house party or a packed venue like the ones I have played at in Khar Gymkhana or Thane. My approach relies on the 'VDJ difference'. I bring a high-lumens projector and screen so that when I drop a classic Kishore Kumar or retro English hit, the original music video is playing in sync. This visual cue acts as an instant trigger for nostalgia, getting people on the dance floor faster. Here is how I make it work: * **Personalization:** We chat before the event about your Do Play and Don't Play lists. I want to know what your group grew up listening to. * **Technical Precision:** I bring my own MacBook Pro and professional Pioneer DJ controller. I arrive 45 minutes early for a soundcheck, ensuring the lip-sync on the videos is perfect and the audio levels are balanced for the space. * **Versatility:** While retro is my heart, I am equally comfortable blending it into BollyTechno or commercial Punjabi sets if the party mood shifts. I travel across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area with my own setup, including the PA system if you book the house party package. If you want a night where the energy feels like a time machine, let's talk. ## About Sumit SY I’m Sumit SY.
