It is about balance. I blend the bold curves of these figures with delicate, fine-line jaal patterns to ensure the design looks intricate from a distance but remains clean and defined once the stain develops. It takes patience to get the symmetry right, ensuring these traditional figures feel natural and fluid on your skin. Every line I draw has a story, and these traditional motifs are the chapters. The lotus, which I often use, is special to me because it represents growth and trust in the light. It brings a sense of purity to bridal henna. ### The Meaning Behind the Motifs * **Elephants:** Represent royalty, wisdom, and strength. They are a classic choice for brides who want a grand, regal look. * **Peacocks:** These are synonymous with beauty and grace. I often place them at the center of the palm or as a focal point on the forearm to catch the eye. * **Lotus:** As a symbol of new beginnings, the lotus flower works beautifully as part of a floral vine or as a standalone piece in a jaal pattern. ### Why the Paste Matters Regardless of how beautiful a design is, it means little without the right color. I make my own henna paste at home using natural ingredients.
