I use positive, game-based methods to teach your feline friend fun tricks like 'shake hand', helping build a stronger bond between you and your pet. ## Photos and videos - [Video: A short clip from a cat training session. Using positive reinforcement, I am teaching this cat the 'shake hand' command. This kind of trick training is a fun way to interact with your feline friend.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/4f9ccf0a-9972-4e31-b244-6d8a96cc3803) ## About Fun with Felines People often tell me cats are impossible to train, but it is usually just about motivation and timing. Whether you want to teach your cat to shake hands or just need them to stop scratching the furniture, the trick is turning it into a game they actually want to play. I don't use force; we find what makes them tick and build from there. Cats have unique personalities, and unlike dogs, they aren't always looking to please. That is exactly why I love training them. My approach to cat training in Bengaluru is entirely based on positive reinforcement. We start small, often using food rewards or play, to encourage engagement. If we are working on a trick like 'shake hand', we are really working on cognitive stimulation and building trust. I also see a lot of cat and dog households where things aren't exactly peaceful. If your pets are at war, I can help with desensitization. We focus on safe, gradual introductions and energy management so your pets can actually share a room without stress. What we cover: * **Trick Training:** Learning engagement actions like 'shake hand' or 'high five' for mental stimulation. * **Behavioral correction:** Managing destructive energy or scratching issues through constructive play. * **Handling desensitization:** Reducing aggression so your cat is comfortable with human touch and nail trimming. * **Cat-Dog Introduction:** Managing prey drive and building calm, positive associations in mixed-pet homes. Everything happens in your home environment, which is where your cat feels most secure. No stress, no strict routines, just a happy feline who learns to listen because they want to. ## About Brooke's Home I’m the human behind Brooke’s Home, where every animal is treated like family.
