Take a look at our creative laboratory, where we refine our melodies and find our flow. ## Photos and videos - [Video: A glimpse into our jam session. Here you can see us working together, with our lead singer on the harmonium and our keyboardist and bassist building the song's foundation.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/24665208-a5fc-44b1-9dc0-6a0e724c588d) ## About Behind the Scenes You will not find perfectly polished studio edits here. Instead, you see us in our Delhi rehearsal space, working through the nuances of our fusion sets. It is in these focused, unfiltered sessions that Alish and the team weave together our classical training with the upbeat energy of our Bollywood tracks, making sure every chord progression and vocal transition feels seamless before we arrive at your venue. ### How We Craft Our Sound What happens in the jam room acts as the blueprint for every performance. When you watch these rehearsal clips, you are seeing the negotiation between traditional Indian sounds and modern musical arrangement. Alish often starts with a single Sher (couplet), and from there, the band builds the structure. The tabla provides the heartbeat, the flute adds a soulful layer, and the electric guitar brings in the rock edge. ### Why Practice Matters for Your Event We practice not just the songs, but the flow of the set. Whether we are preparing for a high-energy 10-piece club night or an intimate ghazal evening, we map out the energy shift. If a client wants a progression from soft Sufi to upbeat dance numbers, we work on those transitions here. This ensures that when we perform at your event, the sound is balanced, the cues are sharp, and the band is perfectly in sync with the vocalist's improvisations. We do not just show up and play; we prepare for the specific mood you want to create for your guests. ### Our Collective Sufi Folks is a family of musicians who bring unique skills to the mix. These sessions are where the drummer, the bassist, the harmonium player, and our lead vocalist synchronize their rhythms. This chemistry is what allows us to read the crowd during live shows and shift gears from a quiet, poetic atmosphere to a high-octane celebration seamlessly. ## About Sufi Folks We are Sufi Folks, a collective of musicians who believe that music is a spiritual journey. In these rehearsal clips, you see us in our natural element, refining the notes that eventually reach your ears at events across India.
