By using the traditional cold process method, I ensure that skin-loving fats like shea butter, coconut oil, and goat milk are not broken down by high heat. This keeps their natural moisturizing properties intact, which is why your skin feels softer and more hydrated after every wash. ### Why Ingredients Matter When I started making soap in my kitchen nine years ago, I realized that most commercial soaps strip your skin of its natural oils. That is why I stick to the cold process method. It allows me to preserve the integrity of the botanicals and fats I use. ### The Heavy Hitters in My Studio I treat my pantry like a science lab. Here is how some of my favorite ingredients work on your skin: * **Coconut & Castor Oil:** These are the backbone of my bars. Coconut oil provides a deep, thorough cleanse, while castor oil acts as a humectant, drawing moisture to your skin and creating that rich, bubbly lather you love. * **Triple Butter Blend (Shea, Cocoa, Mango):** I add these to ensure your skin feels pampered, not tight. They are packed with antioxidants and vitamins that help repair and protect the skin barrier. * **Goat Milk & Fruit Purees:** Ingredients like goat milk or elaneer (tender coconut water) provide a creamy, conditioning feel that is hard to replicate with synthetic alternatives. * **Activated Charcoal & French Clays:** When you need a deep clean, these minerals draw out impurities from your pores without stripping the skin of essential hydration. ### Transparency First I believe you should know exactly what you are washing with. Whether I am using ethically sourced micas for color or phthalate-free fragrance oils for scent, my goal is always to keep the formula simple, effective, and safe.
