Just like cooking, knowing what goes into your skincare matters. Commercial bars can be harsh, stripping your skin of natural moisture and causing issues like dryness or irritation. When you learn to formulate, you control the ingredients, ensuring everything on your skin is clean, plant-based, and nourishing. ### What We Cover in the Studio Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to advance your skills, my workshops are designed to get you comfortable with the process. * **Cold Process Basics:** We start with safety, lye safety, and understanding oil properties. You will learn to formulate from scratch, not just follow a recipe. * **Advanced Techniques:** For those ready to level up, I teach design-focused modules like the hanger swirl, kaleidoscope pull-through designs, and how to work with challenging additives like red wine or coffee without the stress. * **Skincare Formulation:** Soap is just the start. My sessions also cover how to make emulsified lotions, body butters, and shampoo bars that actually hold up in our humid Bangalore weather. ### Practical Learning I keep my group sizes small so I can answer your questions in real-time. If you cannot visit my studio in Shanti Nagar, I have a library of over 20 recorded and live online courses. We focus on the science—understanding why a specific butter creates a harder bar or how to get that perfect, bubbly lather—so you can continue experimenting long after the class ends.
