## About The Art of Design: Artisan Soap Bars

Handmade soaps require a 30 to 45-day curing period to reach their full potential. This timeline allows the saponification process to finish, ensuring the bar is hard, long-lasting, and gentle on your skin. When you plan a custom order, keep this wait time in mind so we can give your soaps the care they need to be perfect.

When you buy artisan soap, you are getting more than just a cleaning product. I use the cold process method, which involves mixing plant-based oils, butters like Shea and Cocoa, and sodium hydroxide. The magic happens during the curing phase, where the water evaporates, and the soap hardens into a mild, effective bar.

### The Art and Science
My design work, like the beach-themed swirls or brush embroidery techniques you see here, is all about experimentation. Because I work in small batches, the swirls will never look identical from bar to bar. That is the nature of real handmade work. If you are looking for uniform, machine-stamped soaps, my process might be too raw for you. But if you want a soap that feels different—and performs better—this is it.

I often incorporate local elements like ghee or fruit purees to keep the formulations interesting. Everything is made right here in my Shanti Nagar studio.
