This means your moisturizer is never too heavy for a humid day or too light for a dry spell, ensuring it absorbs perfectly into your skin every time. Transitioning from soap to lotion-making brought a steep learning curve. Unlike the cold process soap method that creates a solid bar, making body creams and face lotions is about precise emulsification. I work with high-quality butters like shea and cocoa, blending them with plant oils to create stable emulsions that do not separate. Because I do not use heavy industrial preservatives, my batches are intentionally small. This is a practical trade-off. It keeps the botanical nutrients active and fresh, but it means I cannot stock massive inventories. If you visit my Shanti Nagar studio or order online, you are getting a product made recently, not something that has been sitting on a warehouse shelf for months. My deodorant creams are a personal favorite because they rely on natural clays and powders to neutralize odor without blocking your pores. Similarly, my emulsified scrubs exfoliate while moisturizing, leaving behind a protective layer that often removes the need for extra lotion post-shower.
