It takes a little extra planning to get the internal support right, so if you have a specific shape in mind, sharing your inspiration early helps us build a cake that stays stable and delicious. ### How We Build Unique Shapes Moving away from standard round or square cakes allows for true creativity, but it requires a change in technique. Since we avoid fondant—which is often used to mask structural imperfections in commercial bakeries—we rely on precise sponge carving and internal food-safe supports to create distinct shapes. ### The Process 1. **Concept & Structure:** Whether it is a giant cupcake cake, a specific number, or a monogram, we first determine the best structural approach. 2. **Flavor Pairing:** We then pair the design with our premium flavors like Belgian Chocolate, Rasmalai, or fresh seasonal fruit. 3. **Finish:** Instead of sugar paste, we use texture-combed whipped cream, gold leaf, and artistic piping to define the shape and look. ### Practical Advice for Custom Orders Because every cake is baked to order and not pulled from a display shelf, we require at least 2 days' notice for complex structural shapes. This allows us to ensure the sponge has the right density to hold the shape without compromising on our signature light, airy texture. We deliver across Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Mumbai, ensuring your custom creation arrives in perfect condition. If you have a Pinterest board or a rough sketch, feel free to share it. We thrive on co-creation and are happy to guide you on which shapes work best with our fresh cream philosophy. ## About Succulence Cakes I’m the lead baker at Succulence.
