We break down the mechanics behind every movement. Whether it is mastering the floor work in a contemporary piece or getting your kicks and turns right for Jazz Funk, my focus is on posture and control so you can execute steps cleanly and safely. Contemporary and Jazz Funk require two very different energies, and I structure my training to help you switch between them effectively. ### Contemporary My contemporary sessions emphasize floor work, release technique, and expressive movement. We focus on how to use gravity, finding fluid transitions between the floor and standing, and connecting emotional expression with physical control. It is less about rigid lines and more about how your body moves through space to the music. ### Jazz Funk Jazz Funk is where we sharpen the attitude and technical precision. We spend time on isolation drills, rhythmic clarity, and building the strength needed for sharp kicks, turns, and leaps. You will learn to execute routines with the precision of jazz technique while maintaining the energy and commercial flair of hip-hop. ### How the Classes Work * **Levels:** I teach students from absolute beginners to advanced dancers. Beginners focus on foundational alignment and rhythm, while intermediate and advanced sessions push your endurance and complexity. * **Scheduling:** Classes are held in Salt Lake, Lake Town, and Kestopur. We keep batches limited to 10 to 15 students so everyone gets personalized attention and enough movement space. * **Private vs. Group:** If you want a faster track or are preparing for a specific performance, I offer 1-on-1 private coaching at your home. For those who thrive in a group setting, my studio batches provide a supportive environment for collaborative learning.
