In the shots you see here for Kumari Resortwear, I focused heavily on movement. I spent time pinning and adjusting kaftans to ensure they catch the ocean breeze without losing their shape. It is all about making sure the garment looks as free spirited as a holiday feels, even when we are dealing with multiple takes and changing light. My approach to resort wear is simple. It should feel like a breeze on a hot day. When I style for lookbooks or online stores, I move away from stiff poses and aim for that relaxed, sun soaked energy. To achieve this, I coordinate closely with the photographer on set. We look at how the light hits the fabric, whether it is a sheer kaftan or a structured swimsuit cover up. My job is to control the chaos. I handle the steaming, the pinning, and the constant adjustments so the model feels comfortable and the brand message stays clear.
