Whether we are crafting a bespoke oak headboard that defines the room’s texture or building hidden storage into your cabinetry so your space remains uncluttered, every detail is intentional. We focus on the intersection of function and atmosphere, ensuring your room feels as calm as it looks. Your bedroom should be the most personal space in your home. We approach this by treating the room as a vessel for rest, where the visual narrative helps you decompress at the end of the day. In our 'Aria' project, for instance, we moved away from conventional layouts, opting for a masculine, stark black and white palette punctuated by burnt wood textures and deep mud reds to create a dramatic, sculptural retreat. For family homes, our approach shifts towards imagination and utility. In a recent child's bedroom, we installed a writable surface within the wardrobe to encourage creativity, pairing it with bespoke tropical wallpaper and sage green tones. This is a recurring theme in our work: using architecture to solve practical needs while adding a layer of story-driven design. We prioritize natural materials like teak, cane, and linen, which age gracefully and bring a tactile warmth to the space. We also specialize in 'hidden' design, where storage units are camouflaged to disappear into walls, allowing the room to breathe. Whether you are looking to renovate a master suite with custom joinery or create a guest room that feels like a boutique hotel, our process is collaborative. We start by mapping your daily rituals to ensure the floor plan, the lighting, and the material selection all serve your well-being. ## About Studio Nishita Kamdar I approach bedrooms as intimate vessels for your rest, layering textures like hand-carved oak, cane, and soft linen to craft a space that feels uniquely yours. We move past standard modular furniture, instead designing custom headboards and storage that integrate seamlessly into the architecture of your room.
