In our Aria project, for example, the 'Melting Candle' wall is not just a partition. It is a hand-carved sculptural element that intentionally obscures the view, creating a sense of mystery and transition as you move through the home. Art should not be something you simply hang on a wall. We prefer to build it into the architecture itself. Whether it is a totem light installation encased in an elliptical wall or a modern interpretation of Buddhist prayer wheels, these pieces provide a focal point that defines the mood of a room. We collaborate with local artisans to ensure every element—from graphic bar panels in Powai homes to plaster-clad sculptural walls—is made with intent. When we design a residential space, we look for opportunities to turn functional areas into artistic statements. A transitional passageway becomes a gallery, and a standard wall becomes a textural backdrop for paintings. This approach to interior design goes beyond aesthetics. It is about layering materials like IPS, terrazzo, and wood to create depth. By prioritizing these hand-crafted details, we ensure your home does not look like a catalog. Instead, it reflects your personal narrative. If you are looking to move away from modular, predictable interiors and want a space that feels personal and calm, we can work together to find the right artistic narrative for your home. ## About Studio Nishita Kamdar I believe every home deserves a focal point that stops you in your tracks. My studio and I do not just decorate; we collaborate with artisans to craft architectural art that makes your walls, corners, and light fixtures the soul of your space.
