Whether it is steam from a shower, sweat from a gym session, or even a splash of water, any moisture prevents the adhesive from fully setting. This premature exposure inevitably leads to lash or brow fallout, which is exactly what I work to prevent. Lash and brow retention is not magic; it is chemistry. When I perform a lash lift or apply extensions, the adhesive needs a specific curing time to bond effectively to your natural hair. If you disrupt this process, you are essentially washing away your investment. ### Lash Maintenance Avoid mascara immediately after a lift or extension service. Mascara is inherently drying and, when combined with the chemical process of a lift, can make your natural lashes brittle. Instead, use a hydrating lash serum. This keeps the hair flexible and prevents the premature breakage that often results from improper care. When cleansing your face, treat your eye area with extra care. Avoid oil-based cleansers near the lash line, as these break down the adhesive bond, leading to early shedding. ### Brow Lamination Care Think of brow lamination as a perm for your eyebrows. Just like the hair on your head, it needs a specific routine to stay in the desired shape. Brush your brows daily with a clean spoolie to train the hairs to stay in place. More importantly, avoid active skincare ingredients like retinols or exfoliating acids near the brow area for at least 48 hours.
