### My story

We’re SML Architects, right in the middle of Mumbai’s madness. For us, the city’s noise pushes us to chase the opposite: quiet, rooted homes. Mahek always says a house should be calm and reflective, not just a place but a retreat. Had our first magazine cover – wrote ‘Look Ma, Cover’ – felt special, not just for the hype, but because it meant people get what we’re trying to do. We build homes that let you slow down and breathe.

### My work

- **Architecture, Interior & Furniture Design**: We design homes, interiors, and custom furniture, mostly for people who want a calm sanctuary.
- **Sanctuary Spaces**: Our thing is meditative residential spaces, places that feel peaceful and connected to nature.
- **Natural Materials Obsessed**: Teak wood furniture, natural stone interiors – we use honest materials for warmth and texture.
- **Details & Craft**: Every corner, every washbasin, every wall edge gets our attention. We like things precise and soulful.
- **Art-Filled Homes**: We love working with art collectors, making homes that double up as galleries for memories and objects.
