You will see us wedging clay for hours—that rhythmic, physical preparation is how we remove air pockets and get the clay ready for the wheel. It is messy, demanding, and honestly, the most grounding part of our daily routine in the studio. Life at Studio Karva is rarely about keeping things pristine. It is about the chaos and the quiet. Whether we are moving large coiled pots for an exhibition or guiding a student through their first centring attempt, the space is always humming with energy. We recently moved our home to the Vaibhav Industrial Estate in Deonar, and it has been a fresh start. You will find incense burning, clay dust on the floors, and a constant chatter of students learning, failing, and trying again. We believe in the process—the act of 'letting go' when a piece does not work out and the pure joy when a kiln opening reveals something unexpected. It is a space where we value the community and the actual act of making over perfection. We host everything from private group events and team-building sessions to structured foundation courses for serious hobbyists. If you are looking for a place in Mumbai where you can disconnect from your screen and reconnect with your hands, this is it. We do not just teach pottery; we share a lifestyle of mindful creation. ## About Studio Karva Hi, I am Rashi. I have been living with clay since 2004, and my studio in Deonar is where I feel most at home. I love sharing this space, the mess, and the meditative quiet with anyone ready to get their hands dirty.
