A corridor is not just a path from A to B; it is an opportunity to set a rhythm, introduce lighting, or create a moment of pause. We view these in-between spaces as the glue that holds a narrative together, ensuring the experience is seamless from the moment you step through the door. Our practice relies on the idea that architecture is a sum of its parts. A lobby, a staircase, or an art placement serves as the vocabulary for the entire building. We document these nuances in our internal chronicle, treating every project as an evolving study of space. ### The Anatomy of Our Process * **Intentional Transitions:** We design corridors that carry conversation rather than just footsteps, ensuring flow remains purposeful throughout the floor plan. * **Light and Materiality:** Lighting acts as the silent architect here. We balance narrow-beam spotlights and ambient warmth to highlight textures like stone or clay without cluttering the ceiling. * **Art as Soul:** We integrate focal pieces to anchor rooms, turning a standard lounge or waiting area into a character-driven space. Our studio in Gurugram thrives on this level of scrutiny, taking ideas from rough sketches to final built reality. We believe that when you strip away the trends, the core principles of nature, light, and context remain the most relevant tools for a space that feels right. ## About Studio IAAD We are Studio IAAD, a team of old hands and fresh minds based in Gurugram. We spend our days debating material palettes, arguing over floor plans, and building spaces that reflect the people living or working inside them. For us, every project is a conversation.
