Every electrical conduit and plumbing line must be planned months before the walls rise, because once the structure is set, it cannot be cut or changed. We guide you through these early, critical decisions so the final texture of your home remains clean, honest, and structurally sound. Our obsession with detail stems from a belief that a home should reflect its environment. We do not just select materials based on aesthetics; we choose them for their soul and performance. **Material Innovation in Practice** We often push the boundaries of what is considered building material. You might see us using upcycled plastic bottles filled with compressed soil for partition walls, creating spaces that are not only load-bearing but also socially conscious. We use filler slab roofs to reduce concrete volume and keep interiors naturally cool, and we craft jaali walls that turn simple brickwork into instruments for light and air circulation. **The Art of Joinery** For us, an entrance is not just a door; it is the first chapter of your home's story. We frequently salvage carved wooden beams from old structures and rework them into contemporary door handles or frames. This marriage of antique elements and modern design creates a contrast that feels timeless. **Our Commitment to Honesty** Because we leave our walls unplastered, we cannot hide errors. This forces a level of artisan craftsmanship that is rare in modern construction. Every layer of brick, every alignment of a stone, and every pivot of a steel gate is a testament to the hands that built it. We work closely with our site teams to ensure this level of precision is maintained throughout the construction journey. ## About Studio Alaya We are Studio Alaya, a collective of architects who believe a home should feel as alive as the landscape around it.
