- ![This is the heart of a home we designed, where natural light, earthy materials, and open spaces come together. We used exposed brick and Kota stone flooring to create a warm, honest feel, while the floating wooden staircase and traditional swing add a sense of lightness and play.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/5916416e-3863-4fd1-934f-787c96565c82)
- ![For this urban home in Bangalore, we contrasted a clean white facade with the raw texture of rat-trap bond brickwork. The circular window and spiral staircase are not just design elements; they are invitations to explore the different levels and how light moves through the space.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/13398eb3-7244-4063-9871-7f88c38252b2)

## Meet your expert

### My story

We’re Studio Alaya, thirteen years young and still figuring things out. Bengaluru is home, but our work travels everywhere. It’s been wild - some days tough, some days full of joy. We’ve changed, but our thing for building spaces that actually feel alive? Still strong. We want homes to hold real stories, not just look pretty. Big shoutout to folks who’ve trusted us, waited for us, and stuck around. Let’s see what the next year throws at us.

### My work

- **Sustainable Architecture & Interiors**: We design and build homes, farmhouses, and community spaces, always eco-conscious and responsible, all across India.
- **Mud Block & Stone Construction**: We use mud block architecture and locally sourced stone for raw, honest facades that blend with the landscape.
- **Collaborative Design Journey**: Best homes happen with client and team together - trust, patience, and celebrating every step, even the housewarming.
- **Natural Light & Ventilation**: We craft every opening for natural light ventilation, framing views, adding skylights, or jaali walls for playful patterns.
