Our advanced sessions dive deep into the chemistry of ceramics, where you spend time with test tiles, firing logs, and kiln theory. Understanding why a glaze breaks or how a specific clay body reacts at high temperatures is exactly what separates a casual hobbyist from a dedicated ceramic practitioner. Pottery is riyaaz, but advanced pottery requires knowledge. In these masterclasses, we move beyond basic shapes to explore the science of clay bodies and glazes. Whether it is Cone 6 to Cone 10 firing or mastering glaze composition, we treat these sessions as research labs. We also believe in the power of shared knowledge. That is why we frequently invite artists like Kazuya Ishida or Prabhakar Kolte to the studio. These collaborations are not just demonstrations; they are open conversations about color, form, and the philosophy of making. If you are serious about refining your practice, this is where you can challenge your technique, share findings with peers, and treat your pottery as a lifelong discipline. ## About Studio White & Gray I am Sandeep. I started this studio because finding reliable materials and honest guidance in Mumbai felt impossible. Here, we don't just make pots; we study the science behind them, treating the craft as a discipline to refine both our technique and our understanding of clay.
