Here, we focus on hand-building techniques—pinching, coiling, and slab-building—which are way more forgiving than the potter's wheel, especially for beginners. You won’t just be sitting and watching; you’ll be making your own mugs, trinket dishes, or sculptures from scratch in a relaxed, music-filled space. I guide you through the structural bits to make sure your piece survives the kiln, and yes, your complimentary chai is always hot and ready. ### Why a Pottery Date? There’s something about working with clay that breaks the ice instantly. Unlike a movie where you just sit in the dark, a claydate forces you to talk, laugh at each other’s messy attempts, and actually create something together. We’ve hosted everything from first dates to anniversary surprises, and the feedback is always the same: it’s the best way to get to know someone without the pressure of a formal setting. ### For Friends & Families Gather your gang for a 'clay smash' party or a slow afternoon of sculpting. Whether it's a birthday, a reunion, or just a weekend getaway, the studio setup is designed for conversation. We have dedicated spaces for group activities like Sgraffito art or our fun miniature sessions. You don't need artistic talent to join; I promise that 'pottery fails' often turn into the best stories (and the funniest-looking mugs). ### The Practical Bit Located right here in Ghatkopar, my studio is a terrace space where we embrace the mess. All workshops include unlimited stoneware clay, tools, and apron use. The best part? You don’t have to worry about the firing process. I handle the drying, bisque firing, glazing, and the final glaze firing. Your pieces will be food-safe, microwave-safe, and ready to pick up in 2-3 weeks. Come as you are, bring an open mind, and get ready to get your hands dirty. ## About Studio Hands inClay Hey, I'm Aparnaa. I started Studio Hands InClay because I truly believe clay is magic. I love watching couples find their rhythm or friends dissolve into fits of laughter over a slightly wonky bowl. It’s not about being an artist; it’s about having a space where you can let go and just be.
