We specifically select weather-resistant rattan furniture, UV-protected wood flooring, and hardy, low-maintenance potted flora that can survive our urban climate while keeping your balcony feeling like a private, year-round resort. We approach outdoor areas not as leftovers, but as essential living rooms. Whether you have a compact apartment balcony or a sprawling terrace, our goal is to extend your interior design narrative into the open air. ### The Indoor-Outdoor Connection We focus on creating a seamless transition, often using the same flooring materials inside and out to make your space feel larger. For our loggia designs, we incorporate wood-finish tiles that mimic natural timber without the maintenance headaches of real wood in an open space. ### Our Process 1. **Weather-Ready Materiality**: We avoid fabrics that fade or rot. We prefer synthetic wicker for seating and weather-rated outdoor rugs that can withstand direct sunlight and rain. 2. **Curated Greenery**: Plants are architectural elements for us. We guide you on vertical gardens if space is tight, or tiered planters to create depth and privacy from neighboring buildings. 3. **Ambient Lighting**: The magic happens at dusk. We integrate wall-mounted, IP-rated fixtures and soft LED strips that highlight the textures of your planters and seating areas, turning your balcony into a sunset nook. ### Why Design Matters An unstyled balcony becomes a storage unit. A designed balcony becomes your quiet corner for morning coffee or evening contemplation. We look at drainage, lighting angles, and your need for privacy to ensure the space is beautiful, but more importantly, one you actually want to spend time in. ## About Studio Amaavi We are Nihal and Kalyani from Studio Amaavi. We believe your balcony shouldn't be a storage unit; it should be a sanctuary. We focus on creating intimate spaces that let you disconnect, whether that's through a sunset nook or a sheltered reading corner.
