When we designed the Oorjaa booth for India Design ID, the priority was creating a dark, dramatic backdrop to make their handcrafted lights the only thing that mattered. For us, these projects are not just about installing a setup, but about capturing attention in a crowded room with a distinct visual narrative. Special projects, like exhibition stalls or mock-up apartments, let us play with different materials and moods without the constraints of a permanent retail shop. Whether we are transforming a standard developer show unit into a cozy, lived-in home for Godrej Properties or creating a sensory experience for a design fair, our approach remains the same. We zoom in on the soul of the brand. In a mock-up apartment, the challenge is making a small footprint feel expansive and inviting. We use textures, warm lighting, and layered textiles to create a sense of belonging for potential buyers. With exhibitions, it is about drama and focus. We want people walking by to stop, look, and stay a while. It is high-energy work, often involving quick turnarounds and late-night creative sessions, but we love the intensity of it. If you are looking to make a lasting impression with a pop-up, a stall, or a model space, let us talk about how to make it happen. ## About Studio Ruh Hey, we are Kavya and Shruthy! We love the high-octane energy of these special projects. They force us to distill a brand’s entire vibe into a tight, impactful space, which is honestly the most fun kind of design challenge.
