Every store's got its own rūh (soul), and that's what drives me when I start a new project. For me, a retail space isn't just shelves and counters - it's where your brand lives and breathes in the real world. I love the messiness, the chaos, and the little moments that make a shop feel alive. The goal? To give people a reason to come back, not just for the stuff, but for how it all feels.

### How I Get Started

First thing, I hang out with you. Might be over chai, maybe coffee. I want to know your story - what you sell, who walks in, when things get hectic, and what you dream of. Only after that do I even think about sketches. I always try to link the design with your daily grind and your long-term goals, so it's not just pretty, it's practical too.

### Product Takes Centre Stage

Every inch of the shop is planned so your stuff gets noticed, not lost. I believe in a product-focused store layout that feels easy for people to explore. The design should set the mood, but never overpower the main show - your products.

### Past Work, Real Challenges

Once, I did two showrooms for a lighting brand. One was all about immersive retail experience with soft curves and a ceiling grid that could handle monster light fixtures. The other was minimalist, using bold splashes of colour and a killer marble desk. Each space told a different story, but both kept the brand vibe strong.

Hey, we’re Kavya and Shruthy, Studio Ruh. For us, rūh is soul. That’s what we try to pour into every project. Not just about pretty walls or fancy sofas. It’s about the *feel* – the vibe that makes you want to stay. Clients become friends, sometimes family. We’ve pulled all-nighters, lots of chai, maggi, and somehow it all comes together. Winning ‘Young Practice of the Year’? Still feels unreal. Grateful, humbled, and so ready for more magic.
