In our studio, we don't just teach you to draw shapes; we guide you through the process of smudging, layering, and erasing to create that perfect balance of light and shadow. You will work on everything from simple textures to complex human portraits, learning how to handle the charcoal so it works for you, not against you. Charcoal and graphite are not just for quick sketches; they are mediums of depth. We start beginners with the fundamentals—how to hold the charcoal stick, how to manage pressure, and the basics of light study. You do not need years of experience to start, just a willingness to smudge and experiment. For those looking to go deeper, we move into texture work—capturing the grit of skin, the softness of hair, or the harsh reflections in glass. We work with various tools like blending stumps and charcoal blocks, teaching you when to use precision and when to be loose. Whether you join us for a 3-hour skill-based workshop to try your hand at portraiture, or you sign up for our 1-month mastery module for a more rigorous focus on tonal values, you will walk out with finished artwork. We host our classes at our air-conditioned studio in Sector 49, Noida. It is a dedicated space where you can focus without the distractions of home. We provide the easels, sheets, and charcoal mediums—you just need to bring your curiosity. ## About Stroke Art Institute At Stroke Art Institute, we believe anyone can master the contrast of charcoal with the right guidance. I started this space in Noida to move beyond basic sketching, creating a place where you can get your hands dirty, experiment with texture, and actually finish an artwork you are proud of.
