Whether it is layering acrylics for depth or mastering the opacity of gouache, we focus on the technical challenges—like getting the right paint consistency or achieving smooth blends—while you work at your own easel. We keep class sizes small enough that you get direct feedback, ensuring you do not just finish a painting, but understand why each stroke works. ### Why Mediums Matter Different paints behave differently. Acrylics dry fast, making them perfect for layering and correcting mistakes, which is great for beginners building confidence. Gouache offers an opaque, matte finish, behaving somewhere between watercolor and acrylic, which is why it is a favorite for detailed illustration. Oil painting, the hallmark of our advanced curriculum, demands patience. You learn the 'fat over lean' principle and how to build realistic textures for portraits or landscapes. ### What the Classes Include Our studio in Sector 49 is set up for long-form creative sessions. You get: * **Structured Skill-Building:** From basic brush handling and palette knife work to advanced color theory. * **Real-World Application:** We teach canvas stretching, priming, and how to preserve your finished work. * **Feedback Loops:** You are not working in a vacuum. We provide regular assessments to fix shading, perspective, or color harmony issues before you get frustrated. ### Who This Is For Whether you are a hobbyist looking for a relaxing weekend activity or an aspiring artist building a portfolio for BFA or MFA applications, our courses scale to your needs. You can start with our monthly foundation batches or commit to the 3-month medium mastery certificate to get a deeper, more technical understanding. If you are serious about fine arts, our 1-year diploma program includes real-world professional exposure, such as participating in our annual art exhibitions. Come by with an open mind, as some days you will produce a masterpiece and other days you will learn exactly what does not work. That is the process. ## About Stroke Art Institute I am Sunil Chawla, and I started this institute in Noida because I believe everyone has an inner artist waiting to come out.
