Whether you are sketching complex, multi-figure crowds with charcoal or building surreal, detailed worlds with micron pens, you will learn how to structure your composition, manage lighting, and execute the fine details that bring your imagination to life on the canvas. At Stroke Art Institute, our approach to imaginative and figurative art is rooted in technique. We believe that to break the rules of conventional art, you must first master them. Our classes are designed to move you past simply copying images to truly constructing your own unique concepts. ### Building Your Portfolio Our curriculum focuses on the essential skills that make a piece stand out. * **Anatomy and Figure Study:** We emphasize understanding the skeleton and musculature. This foundation allows you to draw figures in any pose, ensuring your characters look grounded and realistic even in fantastical settings. * **Narrative Composition:** Learn how to arrange multiple figures, objects, and landscapes to guide the viewer’s eye. This is crucial for storyboarding and concept art. * **Medium-Specific Control:** We guide you through the intricacies of your chosen medium. You will master the pressure needed for micron pen detail work, the layering required for soft pastels, and the dramatic light control essential for charcoal portraiture. ### Learning Beyond the Basics For those pursuing our 2-Year Professional Fine Arts Diploma, the journey goes deeper. We guide you through the transition from realistic rendering to creative composition. This includes lessons on perspective, storyboarding, and how to develop a cohesive series of works for your professional portfolio. Whether you are a hobbyist looking to sharpen your sketch work or a serious student aiming for a career in the arts, our studio in Sector 49 provides the space and mentorship to experiment. You will receive honest feedback on your work, learn how to manage creative blocks, and participate in an environment where your peers are just as focused on their progress as you are. Join us to build a technical foundation that supports your most ambitious ideas. ## About Stroke Art Institute We are the team at Stroke Art Institute, and we believe that once you grasp the fundamentals of anatomy and light, your only limit is your imagination.
