We often spend hours on a single pattern, adjusting our timing and planes to match, because the shared rhythm is what makes the movement look fluid. If you are starting, focus on finding your partner's flow before you worry about the complexity of the props. While solo flow is a journey inward, partner flow is a conversation. It requires you to be hyper-aware of not just your own props, but the space and tempo your partner is creating. Whether it is poi or silk fans, the goal is to stop thinking about the technical 'mechanics' and start feeling the movement together. In our practice sessions across Bengaluru, we often start with the basics of timing—learning to 'tunnel' or 'weave' around each other without collision. It is rarely perfect on the first try. Expect a few bumps, some trial and error, and yes, the occasional disagreement on how a pattern should look.
