That is why I teach Carnatic vocal—to help you find the Sruthi (pitch) and Laya (rhythm) that truly brings your dance to life. Whether you are learning to sing or to dance, mastering these foundations is what transforms a student into an artist. For me, the journey into classical arts is a long one, and it is a path that requires patience. At Sreejaya's School of Classical Dance, we do not just teach steps or songs; we focus on the soul of the performance. When we highlight these moments—be it a student learning a new Ragam or a stage performance at our annual Nrithya Sandhya—it is to show that music is the breath of dance. My Carnatic vocal classes in HSR Layout are designed to strengthen your focus, discipline, and understanding of melody. We work in small groups, focusing on the fundamentals like Sarali Varisais and Alankarams, ensuring every student gets the personal attention they need to correct their pitch. Whether you are joining our offline weekend classes at the studio or our interactive online sessions, the approach remains the same. No shortcuts. Just pure, dedicated practice. You will see that once you grasp the pulse of the Laya, your confidence on stage will naturally grow. Many of our students who joined for dance have found that adding music lessons gave them a deeper connection to their own performance. If you have been waiting for the right time to start, I invite you to walk into our HSR studio and begin your own musical journey with us. ## About Sreejaya’s School of Classical Dance I am Sreejaya.
