Whether we are observing the tradition of Gurudakshina on Vijayadashami, or I am guiding a student through the subtle expressions of Abhinaya, my focus is always on the individual's emotional and artistic growth. If you are looking for a dance community in Bangalore that treats classical training as a lifelong spiritual journey rather than a simple syllabus, you will find a home here. ### A Tradition of Personal Growth At Sreejaya’s School of Classical Dance, we do not just teach movements. We uphold the Guru-Shishya Parampara, a sacred lineage where the teacher is a guide for both art and life. This means your training in Kalakshetra-style Bharatanatyam is grounded in patience, discipline, and constant encouragement. ### Why Our Approach Matters * **Beyond the Steps:** While we are rigorous about Adavus and Aramandi, we believe these are merely the vocabulary of the dance. The real work happens when students master Abhinaya, learning to express Navarasas with genuine depth. * **A Living History:** We celebrate our roots and our community. Events like our annual Nrithya Sandhya and rituals like Guru Purnima or Vijayadashami are not just formalities—they are moments where we acknowledge our shared dedication and respect for the art. * **Everyone Has a Place:** Whether you are an adult rediscovering your passion or a child taking your first steps, my team and I provide the personal mentorship needed to ensure you feel supported at every stage. ### Your Journey in Bangalore We operate across key locations in Bangalore including HSR Layout, Koramangala, and Whitefield. This means you get the consistency of a structured syllabus with the convenience of a local studio. Our faculty members are handpicked to share the same philosophy of nurturing that I hold dear. From your very first trial session to preparing for your Arangetram, we are committed to your growth as a dancer. ## About Sreejaya’s School of Classical Dance I am Sreejaya Nair, and for me, teaching is like coming home. I believe every student who walks into our studio is a part of my family, and watching them discover their own rhythm is the greatest reward I could ask for.
