My lawn creation process starts long before the grass hits the ground. I pay extra attention to soil aeration and organic enrichment because Bangalore's soil can be quite compacted, which often stops roots from settling. By tilling properly and mixing in the right compost initially, I ensure the pearl grass doesn't just grow, but thrives as a dense, walkable green cover.

Setting up a lawn is essentially a conversation with the soil. In Bangalore, we often deal with hard, clay-heavy ground that simply will not support healthy root systems, which is why I never skip the tilling and enrichment phase.

### Why Pearl Grass?
I often recommend Pearl grass because it is incredibly resilient and thrives in our local climate. It forms a dense, carpet-like cover that suppresses weeds naturally. As you can see in the images, starting with bare soil and achieving a full, lush cover in just 18 days is completely realistic when the foundation work is done right.

### My Process
*   **Deep Cleaning & Tilling:** I clear out existing weeds and debris, then manually turn the soil to ensure it is aerated and ready for planting.
*   **Soil Enrichment:** I add organic compost and coco peat to help the grass roots anchor quickly and absorb nutrients.
*   **Planting:** I lay the grass sprigs at specific, calculated intervals to ensure uniform coverage without gaps.
*   **Early Maintenance:** The most critical phase is the first two weeks. I ensure proper moisture levels and monitor for any patches that might need extra attention.
