Helmets, knee, elbow, and wrist guards are mandatory for every child, every time they enter the rink. We also keep our groups small, usually about 10 to 15 kids per coach, so your child gets actual feedback on their posture and balance rather than getting lost in a large, unmanaged crowd. ### Our Coaching Philosophy At Sportonix, we believe every child learns at their own speed. Whether your child is taking their first wobbly steps or perfecting their speed skating form, our approach remains the same: steady, progressive learning. We emphasize 'baby steps' like proper fall safety and duck walking before moving on to gliding or crossovers. ### Skating Programs We offer three distinct paths depending on your child's goals: * **Beginner Foundation (2 Days/Week):** The ideal start for kids new to the rink. We focus on balance, core movement, and getting comfortable on quad skates. * **Intermediate Skills (4 Days/Week):** For kids ready to do more. We introduce cone drills, 'C' curves, and basic crossover techniques to improve agility. * **Professional Speed Skating:** Advanced coaching for those looking to compete. We use resistance parachutes and dedicated track time at our Varthur facility to work on stride efficiency and race preparation. ### Facilities and Safety We operate two main locations for skating. Our Sportonix Main Arena in Whitefield is equipped with floodlit courts, making it perfect for evening practice sessions. For our speed skating competitive batches, we utilize the larger track at Viswavidypeet School in Varthur. Every session is led by a head coach, supported by an assistant on the floor for spotting. We also incorporate short dry-land fitness sessions for our intermediate skaters to build the strength needed for better control on the rink. If you are looking for a place where your child can fall, get back up, and learn while having a great time, we are here. ## About Sportonix Sports Arena We are Sportonix, and sports is home for us. We started this arena to give every kid a shot at their dream, whether they are just learning to balance or training for a race. We are all about family vibes, cheering for the tiny champs, and growing together one glide at a time.
