This is always the most awaited time of the year for me, and I love sharing my schedule to connect with rasikas in Chennai.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/d1145583-94fa-4f0a-9cd8-f84392983159) ## About Portraits & Announcements The *adhara shruti* (fundamental drone) from my Miraj tanpura is the soul of my practice, keeping me grounded whether I am preparing for a studio recording or a massive festival stage. I keep these updates current so you can easily track my concert schedule, especially during the Margazhi season, or reach out to book a performance for your own intimate or grand event. For me, being a musician isn't just about the time I spend on stage; it is about the preparation and the community I build along the way. ### The Tanpura and the Practice My Miraj tanpura is my constant companion. That sound is where my practice begins, and it defines the classical texture of my music. When you see me with my instrument in these portraits, you are seeing the foundation of my Carnatic roots. It is not just a prop; it is the essential drone that helps me maintain pitch and focus, whether I am singing a traditional kutcheri or experimenting with fusion sounds. ### Following the Season If you have been following me for a while, you know how much I cherish the Margazhi season in Chennai. It is a time of immense energy, endless music, and connection with fellow artists and rasikas. These announcements are my way of keeping you in the loop. If you are looking to host a performance, checking these updates is the best way to see my availability for the upcoming months. ### How to Book Beyond the season, I am available for performances across India—from intimate chamber concerts to large-scale fusion shows. If you have an event in mind and want to bring a bit of Carnatic music or fusion storytelling to your venue, reach out directly. Let's see if we can align our schedules to create something beautiful together. 🧿 ## About Spoorthi Rao I’m Spoorthi, and for me, music is a conversation with the divine.
