It is a full-scale thematic production where music, dance, and spoken narrative weave together to tell the story of Lord Shiva as Nataraja. My team and I work as a collective to create an immersive experience, ensuring that every song and movement serves the larger narrative of the heart space. Chidambara Rahasyam is an offering that grew from a simple, shared idea among artists into a full stage production. It explores the story of Chidambaram, not just as a physical location, but as a metaphor for the heart space within us. What makes this different from a typical performance is the depth of collaboration involved. I perform alongside a core team that includes storyteller Vinay Varanasi, violinist Sruti Sarathy, mridangam artist Adamya Ramanand, and dancer Varun Shivakumar. We combine different art forms to ensure the music isn't just background sound. It becomes the driving force of the narrative, designed to guide the audience through an experience rather than just watching a show. This production is versatile. We have performed it in large auditoriums for hundreds of people and in intimate halls where the connection with the audience is closer.
