I usually perform these with a two-piece acoustic ensemble, which keeps the sound warm and intimate—if you are planning an event, please make sure your venue has enough space to support our basic acoustic setup. When I perform, I try to bridge the gap between the listener and the divine through music. My devotional offerings aren't just about singing songs; they are about creating an atmosphere. ### What to Expect Whether it is a bhajan sandhya or a thematic production like 'Chidambara Rahasyam,' my goal is to keep the audience engaged through both music and context. I select pieces that resonate with the occasion, including Kannada Devaranamas, Marathi Abhangs, and Hindi bhajans like 'Raghuvar Tumko.' ### Thematic Musical Productions I love experimenting with formats. My thematic shows combine music, narration, and sometimes dance to tell a larger story, rather than just performing a list of songs. For example, my work on the 'Chidambara Rahasyam' production was a labour of love that involved a solid team and a lot of heart, aiming to connect our everyday lives with traditional narratives. ### Practical Details - **Duration:** Typically 90 to 120 minutes. - **Ensemble:** Lead vocals (myself), one melodic accompanist (violin or harmonium), and one rhythmic accompanist (mridangam or tabla). - **Repertoire:** A multilingual mix, including audience favorites like 'Kereya Neeranu.' - **Setup:** I require a basic sound system suitable for acoustic vocals and a short sound check to ensure everything sounds right before the performance begins. ## About Spoorthi Rao Hi, I'm Spoorthi.
