Whether it's me, Anuja, or our new addition Nagesh, we are all active tournament players ourselves. When we teach you a flat serve or specific footwork drills, we’re teaching it because we use those same techniques to compete in Mumbai’s local circuits today. ### Why Learn from Active Players? Most academies separate 'coaches' from 'players.' At Shivaji Park Gymkhana, we believe the best teacher is someone still in the arena. Our team actively competes in MSLTA and district-level circuits. When you see us on the court, we aren't just demonstrating form; we are refining our own match strategy. ### Our Coaching Philosophy We follow a 'technique first, victory second' approach. - **Junior Foundation:** For the little ones, it's about movement and having fun. We use specific drills to build agility before we even focus on heavy hitting. - **Tournament Prep:** For competitive athletes, we dive deep into mental conditioning and match simulation. We’ve seen firsthand how a match can turn on a single point, and we teach that resilience. - **Community Integration:** We recently hosted the 'All India Markers & Asst. Coaches Tennis Tournament' right here on our courts. It brought over 300 entries from across India, and our coaches played alongside, creating a massive exchange of knowledge that trickles down to your daily sessions. ### What You Get When you join our batches, you aren't just paying for court time. You are joining a support system. If it rains in Mumbai? We switch to fitness training, so we never skip a beat. Feeling anxious about a tournament? We have experts who handle the psychology of the game. We are here to build players, but more importantly, to build a family. ## About Shivaji Park Gymkhana Tennis Coaching Hi, I'm Sanjay Patel. For 35 years, these courts have been my home, and the players I coach are my family. We don’t just train for trophies; we train to make sure every person who steps on our court leaves feeling a little stronger than when they arrived.
