Here, we showcase a collection of spaces where material, light, and soul converge to create lasting atmosphere. ## Photos and videos - [Video: This is the life we create. We start with the site, not a pre-conceived style. When you walk through our studio, you won't find trend books—you'll find physical models and experiments with rammed earth, salvaged teak, and local stone. If you are looking for a home that feels honest, responsive to the local climate, and designed for living rather than showing off, let’s talk. ### Architecture as a Second Skin We don't design to make a statement. We design to build a shelter that ages gracefully, much like a favorite coat. For us, the process begins by understanding how you want to live—whether you seek the quiet of a reflective water pool or the social warmth of an open-plan kitchen. ### The Language of Materials Our palette is rooted in the earth. We use basalt, granite, salvaged teak, and aged brass not because they are trendy, but because they hold a memory. In our Lakeshore house project, we utilized rammed earth directly from the site, allowing the structure to disappear into the treeline. In our Bombay penthouses, we lean on Bhanswara white marble and solid teak to create a warm, expansive atmosphere conducive to family life. ### Why Atmosphere Matters We believe that a house should breathe. By using high roofs, cross-ventilation, and internal courtyards, we bridge the gap between indoor comfort and the external landscape. Our work—from the Ikebana apartment project to private family homes—is unified by a single goal: creating a sense of peace. ### Our Process * **Listening:** We start by understanding your site and your unique lifestyle. * **Craftsmanship:** Every detail, from the spiral of a staircase to the feel of a door handle, is custom-designed. * **Honesty:** No hidden structures, no fake veneers. Just the building, the light, and you. If your vision involves a home that feels deeply rooted and undeniably real, we are ready to listen. ## About Spasm Design We are architects who prefer to remain students.
