When we work together, we stop forcing exposure. Instead, I help you map your dog's exact threshold distance—the point where they are calm enough to listen. We start there, using high-value rewards to change how they feel about triggers like other dogs or passing traffic, so they can eventually navigate the world without feeling the need to lash out. ### It's Not About The 'Fix' Most reactivity comes from an emotional overload. Whether it’s a bike, a stranger, or another dog, your pup is struggling to cope. My training sessions are built on science-backed counter-conditioning. We don't punish the lunge; we address the feeling that caused it. ### How We Approach Reactivity * **Trigger Mapping:** We identify exactly what sets your dog off and at what distance. * **Emergency Handling:** I teach you how to execute 'U-turns' and emergency sits to safely exit a situation before your dog hits their breaking point. * **Decompression:** Sometimes, the best training is doing nothing. We incorporate 'sniffari' walks and pattern games to lower stress hormones and reset your dog's brain. ### Why This Works I’ve been where you are. My German Shepherd, Spartan, had his own struggles with anxiety and reactivity. I learned that you cannot train through stress. When your dog is over their threshold, they physically cannot learn. My method is about managing the environment, advocating for your dog, and slowly building their confidence until the world stops feeling like a scary place. We practice these skills in real-world scenarios across Bengaluru, from quiet lanes to busier parks, ensuring the training holds up when it matters most.
