It is about 'engagement.' In my sessions, we move away from basic lures to build a communication loop where your dog chooses to focus on you, even amidst distractions. We start with simple markers like wooden block pivots to build their drive and confidence before moving to the complex movements required for sports like freestyle or protection-based games. Advanced training is where the bond between you and your dog really matures. When your dog has the basics down, you have a solid platform to challenge their mind and body. My approach, influenced heavily by my own journey with Spartan, is always force-free. We use play—tug, fetch, and structured exercises—to teach impulse control and coordination. ### Why Sports Matter For high-drive dogs, standard obedience often isn't enough. They need a job. That is where activities like freestyle trick training or the foundations of protection sports come in. These aren't about creating aggression; they are about teaching your dog to channel their natural instincts into a controlled, cooperative game. When a dog plays tug with a bite pillow, they are learning timing, focus, and self-control, all while burning off that excess energy in a healthy way. ### My Training Approach * **Freestyle & Tricks:** We break down complex movements into tiny, achievable steps. If your dog can learn to weave between your legs or perform a 'center' position, they are learning how to use their body and listen to your cues in motion. * **Sports Foundations:** We build the drive first. Whether it is 'leave it' drills near triggers or high-arousal impulse control, the goal is a dog that can switch between 'on' and 'off' modes. I travel across Bengaluru to work with you in your space, ensuring your dog feels comfortable in their environment. We don't just practice; we play, we bond, and we unlock the potential your dog has been waiting to show. If you are ready to take that next step from simple commands to a lifetime adventure buddy, let's get to work. ## About Spartan K9 Training My GSD, Spartan, is the heart of everything I do.
