We walked through the furniture I designed for her home over a decade ago—still standing strong, still functional, still loved. That is what I aim for: furniture that does not just fill a room but becomes part of your family history. Building a home is personal, and for me, it is the start of a long conversation. I do not design for a season; I design for the years to come. Whether it is working with a client for over a decade or collaborating with established names like Tarun Tahiliani on villas in Goa, the foundation remains the same—transparency and a shared vision. My approach to collaboration extends beyond the client-architect relationship. I am deeply involved in the industry, whether as a jury member at Acetech or showcasing our furniture at the IHE Expo. These platforms allow me to stay connected with the pulse of modern design, material innovation, and the latest in luxury living. This constant engagement ensures that when I design for your home, I bring fresh perspectives and the best of Indian hand-crafted quality. For me, the process is everything. It is not just about the final photograph; it is about how the furniture feels after years of use and how the space ages with you. From the thickness of an edge to the selection of stone for a dining table, every decision is made with you in mind. When you choose to work with me, you are not just hiring an architect; you are inviting a storyteller who cares about the longevity and the soul of your space. ## About Walnut by Ritu Kaul I am Ritu Kaul. My work at Walnut is an extension of my life—my love for Indian crafts, my Kashmiri roots, and the deep belief that a home should tell your story, not mine.
