Whether a toddler decides they are done with photos or an uninvited guest crashes your ceremony, these unplanned moments are where the most honest photos happen. I keep my camera ready for the scenes that are not scripted, because those are the ones you will actually laugh about in ten years. My approach to photography is rooted in documentary storytelling. I do not look for the stiff, posed smiles that everyone is told to make. Instead, I wait for the blink of an eye, the genuine laughter, and the fleeting interactions that define your family's dynamic. I treat my equipment with the same seriousness I bring to your memories. Using professional Canon mirrorless gear means I am always ready, regardless of the lighting or the speed at which kids are running around the living room. I have photographed naming ceremonies where everything was perfect, and ceremonies where the local wildlife decided to join the guest list. These are the days that stick with you. If you are looking for someone to guide you into a perfect pose, I might not be your person.
