You will face intense pressure drills and short-sided games where we observe not just your technique, but your decision-making and how you handle adversity. We are looking for players who bring heart to the pitch, not just fancy footwork. If you are ready to prove your commitment to the SMFA family, bring your boots, your grit, and your focus. ### What We Look For Football at SMFA goes beyond just goals and tackles. When you step onto the pitch for our trials, we evaluate you based on: * **Technical Proficiency:** Your first touch, passing accuracy, and ball control in tight spaces. * **Tactical Awareness:** Understanding of our 'purposeful play' philosophy—knowing when to dribble, when to pass, and when to hold position. * **Mental Toughness:** How you react to a missed pass or a conceding goal. We value discipline over raw talent. ### The Trial Structure Whether you are aiming for our U-14, U-18, or the MFA Second Division senior squad, the process is consistent. You will participate in structured technical drills like rondos and passing grids, followed by a competitive 7v7 or 9v9 match simulation. Our coaches, including AIFF D and AFC B licensed professionals, will monitor your performance. Selection verdicts are usually communicated within 48 hours. ### Why SMFA Trials Are Different We treat every session as a reflection of our standards. You are not just filling a spot in a team; you are joining a community that believes the pain of discipline is far less than the pain of regret. We host trials at various turfs across Mumbai, maintaining high intensity regardless of the venue. We are particularly invested in growing the women's game in the city, with dedicated pathways for U-14, U-17, and Open Age female athletes. If you have the passion, you belong here. Come prepared to work hard, because at SMFA, we are building a legacy. ## About South Mumbai Football Academy We are a family, not just a club.
