We maintain a strict coach-to-athlete ratio of 1:15 to 1:20 for all junior programs, ensuring that every session provides personalized technique correction rather than just generic group drills. At Somaiya Sports Academy, we view coaching as a technical craft. Our team is not composed of generalists but of specialists holding certifications from NIS, AIFF, and other national-level sports federations. Whether you are working with our Head of Athletics Development or our cricket technical team, you are getting instruction based on data-driven training systems rather than intuition alone. ### The Coaching Philosophy We integrate sports science into everyday practice. Our strength and conditioning experts work alongside sport-specific coaches to ensure that technical training is supported by physical resilience. This is why we have dedicated S&C coaches on the floor for every high-performance session, and why we incorporate traditional methods like Mudgar training alongside modern gym work to build holistic athletic power. ### Coach Development We believe that to build the best athletes, we must constantly develop our own coaches. We regularly host coach education clinics and workshops where our senior staff shares expertise in talent identification, injury management, and tactical analysis. This environment of continuous learning means our coaches are always up to date with the latest developments in their respective fields, from swimming and squash to athletics and judo. ### Meet the Experts Our team is comprised of professionals who have operated at the state and national levels, including those with experience in the Indian Navy and premier league coaching setups. They are here to provide the structure, discipline, and roadmap you need to reach your next milestone, whether that is qualifying for a zonal tournament or improving your personal best in the pool or on the field. ## About Somaiya Sports Academy We are a group of former athletes, certified coaches, and sports science experts who treat training like a science. We do not just run drills; we mentor our athletes to help them perform, stay injury-free, and understand the strategy behind every move they make.
