We focus on tactical awareness and handling match pressure, using the same facilities where our university and polytechnic squads prepare for their championship runs. Whether you are refining your technique or preparing for district selection trials, you train in a high-performance environment alongside athletes who compete in regular zonal and state tournaments. ### Our Approach to Cricket We believe consistent, disciplined practice is the foundation of every athlete. Our cricket program is structured to support players at different stages of their development, from junior college beginners to university-level competitors. ### Training Methodology - **Technical Drills:** Focus on batting fundamentals, bowling precision, and fielding agility. - **Tactical Training:** We simulate various game formats, including T-10 and T-20, to prepare players for real-match scenarios. - **Sports Science Integration:** Access to S&C gym facilities ensures athletes develop the explosive power and endurance required for cricket. ### Facilities and Competition Located at the Eklavya Sports Complex in Vidyavihar, our academy provides professional-grade infrastructure for serious training. Our teams frequently compete in: - **IEDSSA Zonal Cricket Competitions:** Where our teams consistently fight for and retain championship titles. - **AIU West Zone Tournaments:** Competing at the inter-university level against top talent. - **State-Level School Championships:** Giving younger athletes crucial exposure early in their development. We don't just teach the game; we provide the pathway for selection into district and state teams. Whether you are aiming to make the polytechnic squad or simply want to improve your technique, we expect the same level of commitment from all our trainees. ## About Somaiya Sports Academy We are a group of coaches and athletes who believe that anyone can play if they are willing to put in the work. Our training is straightforward and disciplined, focusing on getting your technique right and building the mental toughness needed to win matches.
