We honor athletes who demonstrate discipline in daily practice, commitment to injury recovery, and active participation in our community, ensuring our standards of excellence remain high across all 18 sports we coach. Our Foundation Day is a moment to look back at the progress of our athletes and staff. The Dr S K Somaiya Awards recognize individuals who have not only achieved medals at zonal, state, or national levels but have also embodied the core values of our academy: grit, unity, and a goal-oriented mindset. ### Recognizing Holistic Excellence We believe success is a product of scientific training and old-school hard work. The awards acknowledge categories that reflect our diverse community: * **Sports Stars (School & Institute):** For students who consistently represent the academy with distinction in competitive events, from swimming to athletics. * **Inspiring Sports In-charge:** For the mentors and faculty who drive the administrative and technical excellence behind our programs. ### The Path to Recognition Whether you are an U-8 football player, a university-level squash competitor, or an adult training for your first marathon, our programs are designed to provide the same level of rigour. We utilize data-driven athlete development, including quarterly performance testing and biomechanical video analysis, to ensure every athlete has the tools to reach the levels celebrated at our Foundation Day. If you see yourself as the next athlete to join this roster, our coaches are ready to help you build the skills and fitness necessary to compete. ## About Somaiya Sports Academy We are Somaiya Sports Academy, where we believe every session is a chance to build a champion.
