I love making learning interactive, so we play games where everyone can participate. In this video, I'm teaching the bass clef, and you can see the children are so excited to shout out the answer. It’s this kind of joyful participation that makes music education so special for young learners.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/f88601fa-72da-41cf-b3a4-cc74083a5d32) - ![Curiosity is the first step in learning. I captured this moment during a music theory workshop where the children gathered around the piano, eager to see how the notes they learn on paper translate into sound. We encourage this hands-on exploration in our group piano classes.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/ece417ff-7891-46ee-907f-a967703edf2e) - ![From the first practice notes to the final bow on stage, we are there to guide our students. That is intentional. We lean into a Montessori-certified approach for our Early Echoes program, prioritizing sensory play and rhythm exploration over rigid drills. When you visit for a trial, you will see how we help children build musical confidence through games and hands-on interaction, ensuring they love the process as much as the performance. At Solfege Academy, we believe that the environment is the third teacher. Our studio in Bandra West is designed to be a sanctuary for creativity, filled with hand-picked furniture and an inviting warmth that helps students—from toddlers to adults—relax and open up to the music. ### Our Approach to Music Education * **Early Echoes (Ages 3-6):** We move away from 'sit-still-and-listen' methods. Instead, our Montessori-led sessions use scarves, rhythm sticks, and global music themes to help children internalize the beat before they ever pick up a formal instrument. * **Piano Lessons for All Ages:** We teach on original Steinway pianos because we believe touch and sound quality matter. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your technique, our group workshops and recital prep sessions focus on eliminating stage nerves and fostering true musical expression. * **Collaborative Learning:** Our space is small and intentional. We encourage students to learn from one another, creating a community where feedback is gentle and growth is collective. If you have been searching for music classes in Mumbai that value joy over perfection, we invite you to book a trial session. Come see how we combine rigorous training with a relaxed, artsy environment to help students find their own unique sound. ## About Solfege Academy I am Sneha, and Solfege is my attempt to keep the joy of music alive. We believe that whether you are 3 or 30, the best way to learn is by feeling the music together in a space that feels more like a cozy living room than a stuffy classroom.
